Cuneo Creek Ride September 8, 2007 Note: Entries limited to 100 riders

The Redwood Empire Endurance Riders invite you to join them at this year's Cuneo Creek Ride. The Cuneo Creek horse camp, part of the California State Parks system, is the site for this beautiful ride. In the heart of the redwoods, this ride offers challenging climbs and spectacular views, with plenty of water along trails and access roads. The camp has showers, horse corrals, tables and potable water. The 50 mile winning time should be about 5 1/2 hours. Try our ELEVATOR RIDE ** up to 75 miles.

No open fires and no dogs, please.

Location: 
The camp is approximately 7.3 miles west of Highway 101 on the road to Honeydew, just north of Weott, between Eureka and Garberville. Take the Honeydew exit and go west through the State Park following the Ride Camp signs to the Cuneo Creek campground turn off on the right side of the road, just past a small cemetery. Ride camp opens at noon, Friday, September 7, and closes at noon, Sunday, September 9. For additional camping, contact Humboldt Redwoods State Park 707-946-2409.

Ride Rules:
The Cuneo Creek Ride will comply with all AERC and REER ride rules. AERC helmet rule for juniors will apply.

Food:
Dinner at the awards banquet on Saturday night will be provided for all entrants starting about 6 PM. Extra meal tickets are $10.00.

Entry Fees:
75 miles - $115.00 Includes completion certificate, state drug & AERC fees.  Deduct $10 if entry postmarked by September 3, 2007.

50 miles - $95.00  Includes completion certificate, state drug & AERC fees.  Deduct $10 if entry postmarked by September 3, 2007.

30 miles - $80.00  Includes completion certificate, state drug & AERC fees.Deduct $10 if entry postmarked by September 3, 2007.

10 miles - $35.00  Includes completion certificate & state drug fees.  Deduct $10 if entry postmarked by September 3, 2007.

Special Notes:
30, 50, and 75 milers must show proof of current AERC membership or pay $15.00 AERC non-member fee. Send photocopy with entry application.
*** Junior riders (16 years and under) may ride for HALF PRICE!
*** $5.00 discount on entry for 2007 REER members (excluding juniors).

**Elevator ride rules - May only elevate once, to the next distance longer. Rider relinquishes status of completion in the shorter distance and is eligible for completion only in the longer distance. Must remit $25.00 at time of elevation.

Refund Policy:
Complete refund if notified by September 5, 2007. $15 retained thereafter. Complete refund for failure to pass pre-ride veterinary check.
